About Us

The instructors at Blue Water Bujinkan are all students first.  Each are certified members of the Shidoshi Kai (Teacher’s Guild).

Sean O’Brien
Sean (Shidoshi) began training in the Bujinkan in 2008 under Gabe Logan (Bujinkan of the Upper Peninsula, Michigan).  In 2015, he passed his Godan test at the Honbu Dojo under Darren Horvath.  He has visited Japan multiple times to train with Hatsumi Sensei and the Japanese shihan. He works at Wayne State University with a doctorate in history.

Genevieve Prange
Genevieve (Shidoshi) began training in the Bujinkan in 2008 under Gabe Logan (Bujinkan of the Upper Peninsula, Michigan).  In 2015, she passed her Godan test at the Ayase Budokan in Japan under Shihan Yukio Noguchi.  Genevieve’s full time career is seamstress and refashionista as as pursuing a graduate degree in Public History: Museum Studies at Wayne State University.
